Germination Guarantee Explained

Germination Guarantee Explained

Important — Please Read

We stand behind our seed stock. Every batch is test-germinated and we keep records to prove it.

Biology has natural variability, though, and even with a strict method things can occasionally miss.

If you report more than ~20% not germinating after 5 full days following the guide, we may re-test the batch on our side and compare results. We’ll ask for basic evidence (dates, temps, brief photos).

That’s not distrust—it’s how we diagnose the issue fast and make it right.

Seeds Must be germinated within one month of you receiving them.  We have no idea how you are storing them, so once outside of our control, you have a month to get them popped.

Our Germination Guarantee is for the Paper Towel Method ONLY

Why Paper Towel Method Only?

  1. Our breeders perform germination tests on the seeds prior to sending them to us using the paper towel method.
  2. We perform germination tests on our stock prior to sending them to you using the paper towel method.
  3. If you want the same 10/10 results we get, we expect you to use the same 10/10 method we use.  Plus its very simple and available to all growers, so its a reasonable request.
  4. The beauty of the paper towel method is it's clear and visual.  You get to see exactly what is going on with your seeds before transferring them to growing medium.
SO, If you follow our Germination Guide (paper towel method) and control temperature, moisture, light, and time, we guarantee you’ll achieve the same results we saw when we batch-tested this seed stock.
What does that look like? STORE CREDIT!

Our seeds are pre packed into vials for transport and storage, so sending one seed is not really an option.
  • Any seeds that don’t pop within 5 full days under these conditions qualify for store credit (coupon).

  • The guarantee applies only to the paper towel method as described in our guide.

What “follow the guide” means

To qualify, please match the setup in our guide as closely as possible:

  • Method: Paper towel, seeds spaced apart, towels damp (not soaked), in a ventilated container/bag.

  • Temperature: Stable at [your target range, e.g., 22–26 °C] (avoid hot/cold swings).

  • Moisture: Towels stay consistently damp; no standing water.

  • Light: Low/no light. Controlled by enclosing with foil or the top plate or both

  • Time: Check once daily for 5 full days (120 hours). Don’t disturb or squeeze seeds.

Tip: A cheap thermometer/hygrometer helps you keep conditions stable.

What’s covered vs. not covered

Covered

  • Seeds that do not visibly crack/pop a taproot within 5 days using the paper towel method under controlled conditions.

Not covered

  • Other methods (soaking only, planting direct in soil/coco, peat pellets, paper towel left in full sun, etc.).

  • Over-drying or waterlogging (towels dripping wet, pooled water).

  • Extreme temps (too hot/cold) or heat sources that cook/dry seeds.

  • Physical damage (cracked or squeezed seeds), contamination, or mold from unclean materials.

How to make a claim (quick)

  1. Gather this info:

    • Order number, seed name/pack size, how many seeds didn’t pop.

    • Dates you started and checked (Day 1 → Day 5).

    • (Optional but speeds things up) 1–2 photos of your setup and Day-5 result.

  2. Submit a support letting us know you are having germination issue and we will send you a claim form to fill in.

  3. Complete the form as best you can with details

  4. We’ll verify your claim against the guide and issue a coupon for the non-germinated seeds.

We aim to review claims quickly. Photos help us resolve it faster.
